Carolyn the Lion Tamer

I came home today and it was empty. Well, there was Nelly and my stuff, but no Carolyn. Carolyn left San Francisco this morning and she won’t be back for 7 and a half weeks. She went to Chicago for a week to run some errands before she goes on her big ol’ adventure to Africa.
Yes Africa. Carolyn is going to Africa. For 6 weeks. Nairobi, Kenya to be exact. Personally, I have no desire to head over yonder for work, pleasure or whatever, but that’s just something interesting about Carolyn. It’s been a dream of hers for a while to go there and I’m glad she’s taking this time to fulfill that need in her. Most people get old and fat and let their dreams walk right on by. So she packed up her photo equipment, got vaccinated for everything from Tibetan Monkey Brainrot to Albino Weasel Pox and got her visa to head 9607 miles east and toward the equator.
What will she be doing you ask. She’ll be working at an orphanage for 4 weeks then heading out into the wild to tame lions with the Masai. Or something like that. For trip specific information, check out what she has to say about it. And once you’re all done with that, check out the rest of her blog for hopeful regular updates.

And so here I will be, sitting on my comfy couch, trodding through my daily routine while Carolyn is off satiating her dream. Good luck Carolyn, I hope it’s everything you want it to be. I’ll see you soon.
