Since Alex recently posted and secretly pointed out my weakness, I am forced to post this last picture of me drinking in Mexico. ¡olé!
This past week I saw The Animation Show. It’s always refreshing to see what people are doing outside of the realm of feature film character animation. Studying character and stuff is great, but it’s quite easy to forget that there are artists elsewhere pushing the medium of animation and that whole aspect of film-making with no relation at all to what I spend the majority of time trying to do. Unfortunately there was no stand out short like last show’s Hello. All the shorts were pretty much all just as good as the rest. Another disappointment was that the Oscar-nominated Danish Poet was not a part of the show. Not that it was supposed to be or anything, I just really want to see that phenomenal short again. If you have a chance to see it, GO, it’ll be the best thing you see all year. Anyway, check The Animation Show’s schedule and head out and support some really fun animation.
I beat New Super Mario Brothers for my DS. I’ve found all the secret exits and I’ve spent all the star coins. Yay. Now on to finishing Elite Beat Agents.
My cell phone has decided to take notice from the magical light fixture and fix itself. It works now but it has a battery life roughly equivalent to a Sega Game Gear. I would complain but I’m still in shock that all these electrical thingies are fixing themselves recently. I fear an uprising.
Pan’s Labyrinth wasn’t all that, but tonight I’m finally going to see Children of Men. Woooo.

The broken light fixture fixed itself last night. ¡olé!
This morning I went into the kitchen, hit the light switch, and lo! there was light. This is different from previous mornings where I would go and no! there was no light :( To celebrate such a fascinating display of magic, here is a photo of me drinking a strawberry margarita on a beach at night time where there was no light except for torches (or, in this case, also a flashbulb). I would prefer to say that this photo was taken last night in my no-light kitchen, but I would be lying. It was taken in Mexico.

The memory card is found! ¡olé!
In celebration of the memory card being found, there is a photo of me drinking a snickers frappucino near where we stayed in Mexico. There are two things to be said about this photo. Firstly is thus: having never had a frappucino before, I can honestly say that the frappucinos from this coffee spot are without a doubt, the best I’ve ever tasted. The name “snickers frappucino” is misleading however. It should have been called “drink that tastes 100% like a liquid snickers that is filled to the top with caffeine and will make you want to return every day for at least one more.”
The second point is such: though this coffee spot competes rather fiercely with the best coffee spot in the universe, Javva the Hutt, this coffee spot competes only with Perk Presidio for the absolute lamest name ever. Coffee Cup is not a name. It is just plain stupid. Had their enticing lunch menu and aforementioned stellar snickers frappucino not been available, I believe I would have been tempted to participate in arson to rid the world of such a horribly named coffee spot.
But, if you ever find yourself in Puerto Vallarta, please seek them out. You will be happy. Almost as happy as me in that photo.

I’m back from Mexico. ¡olé!
Unfortunately, there seems to be a missing memory card and battery charger. My phone has ceased to function properly. I opened a bag and there was shampoo in places it shouldn’t be. And lastly, the light fixture that mysteriously blew up before I left failed to fix itself. Oh, and I have to go to work this morning instead of to the beach.
On the plus side, I was in Mexico for a week and it was absolutely amazing. :)
